Fantastic Voyage: Idea

For the 3D cell animation i will be focusing on the structure of the Eukaryotic Cell in an animal. the scene I pictured in mind was having a camera focusing outside the cell, starting from the cell membrane then working its way in to the organelle of the cell. I will be picking aboout 3/5 organs that i would focus on and five discription on what they are and do to the cell this also links to me to maybe having a voice over during the animation or shown by text.

  • Cell Membrane
  • Ribosomes
  • Mitrocondria
  • Nucleolus
  • Nucleus
in the style of introducing an organelle i was thinking of having a freeze four about 4/5 sec at the organelle with the name next to it then the animation continues. to get more understanding of it I've linked a video below.

Background sounds. I like the 'Magnetic' sound gives a feel of being inside something ot under water.

  1. Your'e focusing on the structure of the cell, which also interests me and I came across a video while I was researching...it describes the structure like a city, and visually it was helpful to see everything in one place, it might be helpful to you if you gave it a watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1GQyciJaTA also, I like the audio samples you have on here, thumbnailing/speed painting some visuals that go with these sounds could be interesting...

  3. Hey George,

You might also want to take a look at the movie Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels and also Scott Pilgrim in terms of using freeze-frame and slo-mo as a dynamic way of introducing characters and information. Certainly, Lock Stock might give you some ideas in regard to voice-over too - a sort of 'cell as geezer' stylee?

  5. Hey, i think the magnetic sound you have can work really nicely, have a look at some MRI machines, they give out a weird magnetic, metaly sound that might also work
